was lovely to read the positive comments on the hanging monkey but we are the new owners we took over in september 2009 and have re-named it the 19th hole and i can say and i hope people will agree its still the friendliest bar in lanzarote

this is the most friendliest bar in puerto del carmen.it may be a very small bar but it's amazing what activities you can actually get up to.

If you don't go anywhere else go to the Hanging Monkey. We have been to Lanzarote twice and the Hanging Monkey is a must, friendly people, great atmosphere and cocktails to die for!! xx

We loved this bar, we found it half way through our holiday and we had some of our best nights in here, small friendly and cheap. Worth popping in on a Friday night for the cards night as well.

What can we say that's not been said before! Every time we visit we call in the Hanging Monkey, usually every night! Jon Paul and Sarah are great and the bar has a party atmosphere every night. We always meet up with people in there that we've met in there on previous visits. Once you've called in for a drink, you always go back again and again. Thanks this time round JP for teaching us how to play poker! I've never played it before, honest, even though there were cries of "Hustler". We had a great time as usual. See you next June when I will be celebrating my "60th" - put the champagne on ice. Cheers - Sheila and Jane

I cannot seem to walk past the Monkey without going in, it's starting to seriously effect my sleeping pattern, as once I'm in it's hard to get out! This is due to the good craic and even better measures!! JP and Sarah are top notch (despite one being a Mackem!!). Thank you for looking after me and me son for the last 10 nights.
