we visited PDC in April of this year and had to stay an extra week during the volcano "crisis. On the first night of our additional weeks stay we popped into a liitle place on the hill called Chadwicks and all we could think is why didnt we visit this bar sooner. The beer was excellent (a testiment to which was proved by the frequent visit of other pub / resteraunt owners to Chadwicks while we were there commenting on the beer quality), Kevin the owner / bar man was friendly, approachable, made excellent conversation and generally good company. Advice on places to visit on the island and how to get there was always on hand if required. The traditional pub look always ticks a box too. The swap a book library and free internet (if you had a wifi enabled phone)was also a very nice touch. We went back all but one night and when we visit PDC again it will be first on our list of places to visit. We have never felt so welcomed and felt "at home" in a bar as we did in Chadwicks. A friendly, comfortable, charming pub, with a great atmosphere. In our opinion the best in PDC. To all those who havent tried...We recommend the chocolate shots...or a baby guiness.lovely. P.s. We spent two weeks in PDC this July and without fail went to Chadwicks every night. Last year we discovered this truly excellent bar and could not wait to return. As the previous year everything about this bar is quality. The beer, atmosphere, locals and the landlord are superb. Kevin makes such an effort with every detail of his bar. The beer is without doubt the finest in the island. Each night we would look forward to the Chadwicks experience as every night had something different to offer. We have never been in a bar where all the locals, tourists and the landlord are involved in one big conversation. If it is you wanted a quiet pint you were respectfully left to yourself. We were so sad to have to go home but as Kevin rightly said "you have to go home to come back again". Kevin we wish you all the best and look forward to climbing those steps into the Chadwicks experience soon. John & Deborah O'Leary

hey kevin just sayin hello and too say thanks for a great time in the "panty palace" had many a great night in chadwicks and would definately recommend this bar to anyone travelling to pdc..... The beer is by far the best on the island and the craic and conversation was excellent...Will definately be back hopefully sooner rather than later..Thanks again for a smashing time.. stephen & emma

Great little bar, always stopped here for a drink on the way down and the way back up the hill. The owner Kevin, is friendly with a welcoming atmosphere. On our last night it was our sons birthday, we'd pre-ordered a custom made and decorated cake from behind the bar a few days previous. It was tasty and a great surprise for our son. Hi Kev, we made it back to blighty on time-unfortunately! Thank you so much for making our stay in PDC a fun filled one, full of witty banter and sangria!!! (damn fine sangria may i add!). Chadwick's was most definitely our 'local' for the duration of our stay, we stumbled across it lost on our first night and never really left! We had such a warm welcome and met some lovely people. Nothing was too much trouble for Kev and he even fixed my camera for me! I would recommend Chadwick's to anyone looking for a friendly bar with great beer and great company. We will definitely be heading straight to Chadwick's on our next visit to Lanzarote. All the best Kev.

Hi Kev, Vist 25th of April 2010 for a week. Just thought id write a few lines as want to pick you up a bit. Trade is down all over PDC and hope things pick up for you quickly as i know its not easy in these testing times.
