I'm afraid I have to agree with Clare Read on this one. Been to American Indian loads of times over the years, but although the staff were friendly enough, and then band Question? were good, my wife was given a dessert that the cream inside it tasted about 4 months out of date! The staff took it away but with no apology, and we didn't even get the customary shot after our meal. Seems like AIC are cutting back like a lot of places in PDC!

We arrived in Puerton Del Carmen on 27th December 2009 and about 2 hours later we were enjoying a meal and the entertainment at the American Indian Cafe. About 2 hours after that both my partner and I were vomitting violently with food posoning and didn't leave the apartment for the next 36 hours. It was without doubt either the chicken or the coleslaw that we ate that night at the American Indian as we hadn't eaten since leaving the UK. Would recommend avoiding this place and eating at a proper restaurant if you don't want your holiday spoilt like ours was.

A decent enough night out with a good range of food and cocktails. Not overly keen on the band and it is a similar range of songs every night so maybe a one off or couple of times to visit only. Service can be a little slow so grab a waiter when you can and they are usually more than helpful. Worth a try.

visited this place four times in the two weeks we spent in peurto del carmen. First of all the host on the steps did not annoy you while you were looking at the menus or put any pressure on to go into the premises but when you showed you wanted to go in was friendly and helpful. Steak special was brilliant value for money good cut and cooked exactly as requested. Cocktails top notch and were very impressive and were on the strong side. Great atmosphere, good service, would highly recommend the place to anyone.

My wife and I have just returned from our fifth visit to Lanzarote and our third in Puerto Del Carmen and have always regarded the bar as one of our favourites. The food was, as always top notch as was the service. Question were on good form and new guy(fellow scot) Paul is a welcome addition. All in all a great place to relax, which attracts a cosmopolitan group of people(although I prefer the old American Indian Cafe, which although smaller offered a more intimate atmosphere). Well done guys!!!

Have been to Lanza loads of times, (IWe are in our early 50s) and we always go tto American Indie bar several times during our stay. Daytime is good too, chilled out place, nightime is best when the band 'Question' are playing. They are fantastic. Drinks are on the pricey side, service is excellent - what can I say bout the band - brill. My husband & I heading out again in July. Hope Question are still the resident band???

Just back from 2 weeks in Puerto del Carmen and as on previous holidays spent every night in American Indian. Waiters, Band, Food, Drinks fantastic. Couldn't fault anything. We were looked after totally and entertained brilliantly. Well done to all. Keep up the good work. Be back asap.

Wandered past this place a few times and it looked good. One night they had a couple of offers on that sounded good so my girlfriend n i went in. Were sat down straight away but then there wernt many people in there. Menus turned up quick and drinks were ordered. Garlic bread to start was ok but a bit dry. Then steak came out and it was definetly not the best cut of meat id seen and when tasted it was awfull. The brownie made up for it a little then we were let down yet again with no one taking our drinks order. We sat n waited until the band started to try and play (well 2 blokes attempting to play guitar). At that point we decided it was time to "pay n go" to tequila bar. Miles better.
