You would not beleive the impact that two visits to dee jays bar has had on 4 people from Hertfordshire, we never have a drink without mentioning Sarah and Saleem what a lovely couple I do wish that they can continue their dream and carry on running Dee Jays Bar. The day that storm closed in was amazing we shall never forget it when we all ran out in the approaching rain gathering in the tables and chairs giggling like school girls little did we know that one of the biggest storms in the islands history was about to hit, we are all back there in October and we do hope that they are still running the bar, As Sarah would say "do you want chips with that lovey" roll on October. We were in Lanzarote in Feb, the day of the big storm, stranded in DeeJays., it couldn't have been a better place What a fantastic laugh we had with Salim And Sarah and all the other holiday makers stuck there with us. Sarah and Salim run a fantastic bar and I am so sorry to see the bar up for sale, they make it what it is. They are so welcoming, down to earth and lovely people. Gill, Mick, Kerry & Jeff

Super bar, super location and extremely friendly staff. Sat here one lunchtime and enjoyed a couple of pints and fish, chips and mushy peas. Recomended.

Saw the sign for the coldest beer on the beach went in to DeeJays bar it was fantastic, met people from Rochdale, Norway, Germany, Spain, never know such a melting pot of people fantastic. Salum the boyfriend is one of the nicest people I have met. The Brummy girl who owns it (Dolly/Sara )was a pure diamond. The drinks fantastic, the place was like something from the Florida Keys, if there wasnt enough room you sat on tables with people you didnt know but Dolly would introduce you to the other people, everyone new each other, people became family, there was a couple from Rochdale who were the salt of the earth, i think his name was Max. They were there every day 4-00pm for the sunsets, lovely people. Cant wait to go back and see Dolly & Salum(I called him Selime ) and have the best coldest beer on Matogorda beach, the BEST

have just had a lovely week in matagorda lanzarote,lovely resort and just along the beach is a really small bar with a fantastic personality its called deejays.We went there every day had the coldest beer on the beach only 2e and it really was the best,here we watched the whales go by and were entertained by salum and sarah.the pizzas are to die for and salum makes wicked garlic bread,you really must go there its paradise.

Hi Sarah & Saleem Just wanted to say what a wonderful freindly atmosphere your bar has, you are just the most welcoming people, we had lunch in the bar quite a few times, each time it was excellent, i really enjoyed the beautiful cheeseburgers. Nearly every afternoon after a hard mornings sunbathing we strolled over to Deejays for a nice cold beer and something nice for lunch, we were never dissappointed, we even got info about the Indian restaurant from Sarah, (jewel of India) cheers Sarah & Saleem.xx Josie & Chris ( curry fans.)

deejays best part of our holiday there every day proper cod and chips and the sangria is the best i ever tasted back next year for more,well done salum and sarah.

We were so sad to leave our holiday this year, we went self catering and spent literally all our meal times at the Beach bar, the owners made us feel so welcome, and it was great to sit on their sunny terrace with an icecold beer. I will definitley be coming back again, thansk guys you really made out family's week.

We got back from Matagorda:Lanzarote last sunday + we STRONGLY recommend DeeJays Beach Bar. We went in there for lunch + on the late evening; we just couldnt stay away! Everyday without fail! The food was out of this world, were recommending the burgers in perticular!!!!! Whilst you are there in the bar you can just take a look out to the view of playa Matagorda beach + chill your way out for a lifetime Sarah+Salum who owns the bar are an amazing couple who you just cant go wrong with We began to have such a warm atmosphere with them + had such an emotional goodbye to them + miss sitting in their bar :( We hope you read this + hoping hoping hoping to come back next year!!

We have just got back from Lanzarote and want to recommend Dee Jay's to anyone who wants a cold beer, fantatsic burger, superd sandwiches and much more. Even did us rolls etc for our trip home! Views out over the beach at Matagorda are fantastic. Sarah and Sileem (sp?) make you very welcome and will go out of their way to help you if they can. If you read this Sarah thank you and see you next year.
