We were disapointed after reading all these nice reviews. Sorry but after that expeirience we went down the Street Teide and found nice restaurants like Mexican cantina small but nice, and another day we came across polish irish restaurant Bodecos, that is something special, we are stuck for words, very tasty and different food and the ambience fantastic. well recommended.
We also tried restaurants down the harbour unfortunetly nothing to write home about.

Visited restaurant on Wednesday 20th January after reading all the good reviews prior to arriving in PDC.
With expectations high we left "underwhelmed",disappointed and wondering where/how these good reviews are achieved.
Starters, although interestingly described on the menu, failed to deliver on taste or style.
Our main course was delivered in he same manner. Although the Vanilla Jus complimented the duck breast well food was delivered only lukewarm. The chicken main course was dry and bland served with little jus. The accompanying vegetables again were served warm.
Thankfully, we were availed to much better establishments within the Old Town offering better value, taste and ambience

Lillian and I are very fortunate to be able spend a lot of time in in beautiful Lanzarote. We fell in love with the Old Town area of Puerto Del Carmen many years ago. It is a charming warren of narrow streets surrounding the old harbour and populated by little family run bars and restaurants. It has a very Spanish feel to it. If we were to criticize Lanzarote at all, it has allowed too many "all inclusive" hotels, whose emergence have denied so many people the pleasure of discovering and enjoying these fantastic places to eat and drink.
In our opinion, Bellenies Restaurant represents this charming area to perfection. Small and cosy and tucked away in a little street, it presents in a very imaginative fashion, fresh high quality food, cooked to perfection and combined with very tasty and sometimes unique sauces.
Husband and Wife team Emma and Des have owned Bellinies now for a number of years. They work very hard to ensure that the restaurant continually re-discovers itself. There are frequent changes to the menu, presentation and envoirnment, but if there is something missing from the menu that you particularly liked on your last visit, say the word and you will have it next time.
Where would you get service like that?
Go to Lanzarote, discover the Old Town of Puerto Del Carmen and definitely try Bellinies. Be warned however it's a small restaurant, so book in advance to avoid disappointment..

My wife and I have eaten at Bellenies many times but for some unknown reason I have forgotten to make a comment.I know what some of you are saying (i'm selfish) and you are right. So here I am to put the record straight,.my last visit to Bellenies was on Saturday evening as it was my wifes birthday. As always the food was fabulous. Des has got the presentation down to a fine art and how,I don't know, but he seems to be able to improve on his own perfection. Emma plays her valuable part and together they make a great team. I wouldn't go back if I wasn't impressed but this is not the case and I would ague strongly agains't anyone who can say they have walked away dissatified.
Keep up the good work and we'll be seeing you very soon.
Kind regards
Peter & Linda

What happened, the new owners have ruined the place. The previous food and atmosphere have gone.
