I found The Place quite by chance while out walking in mid November. I chose to go in an have a meal by what I saw on customer's plates. Good decision! Will go back!

This is a marvellous restaurant with obliging staff and excellent food. The location is exceptional because you are away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, when it's busy, that is. I hope that Newcastle bounce back next year and that The Wolves are still in the Top Flight to play them.

The Place is a very warm and friendly place run by family , it is situated just afew steps from the beach, food very good and variable a real suntrap with large open front overlooking the sea..

Great place Great food and great owners , seems the planned shut down is NOT happening so brilliant , know people in my home town who are here most nights and dont blame them , me i just adore the chilled atmosphere and vview while having a pint outside in teh sun

We found this place on the last day of our March holiday. We have visited Lanzarote at least 20 times and never knew it existed!!! Not going to tell you where it is though, as we want to be sure of a table when we visit in August 2008!! The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic and the view is to die for!!

popped in again on our latest trip and everthing was open and running smoothly , again the sunday roasts were sold out and xmas dinner had been booked for weeks
cant fault this place 1 bit , even if its just a drink to sit and admire the view makes your hols and the food is brilliant as well

When you say due for closure when is this , we are going back to PDC on the 6/12th and even thou we are going All Inclusive the Place was the one place we both wanted to eat at again
Thought it was the same family the3 older lady just looked so familar and the daughter as well , and thats from 18 yrs ago

THE PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY BRILL FOOD IS GREAT AS ARE STAFF, AND YES IT IS SAME STAFF AS FAR BACK AS ANYONE CAN REMEMBER, AT PRESENT IT IS DUE FOR A CLOSURE FOR 12 MONTHS AS THE COMPLEX AT REAR HAS BEEN SOLD AND A SHOPPING COMPLEX SIMILAR TO BIOSPHERA IS BEING BUILT IN ITS PLACE, BUT THE RESTUARANT IS RE OPENING BIGGER AND BETTER, WATCH THIS SPACE

If you like to eat excellent food while you enjoy a beautiful sea view - then i recommend you visit The Place Bar. The staff are so polite and friendly and make you feel very welcome. I understand the same family have run the business for 25 years - with the same customers returning each year - surely that speaks for itself!! The chef serves very generous portions - especially his steaks!! and if you like a curry - his chicken curry is a must. No-one leaves feeling hungry. The Place Bar is right on the sea front - but well worth seeking out.
